Every performer, entered in a competitive class, excluding choir members, receives a certificate with a standing.
Performers do not receive a mark on their certificates.
All marks are kept confidential between the adjudicator and members of the Festival Board.
All scholarships are handed out at the Grand Concert and Awards Ceremony
All scholarships are subject to sponsorship availability
Standings at our Festival
Platinum Standing (90% +) A Platinum standing reflects a polished and fluent performance
Gold Standing (86-98%) A Gold standing reflects an impressive performance with some elements that still need polishing
Silver Standing (83-85%) A Silver Standing reflects a good overall performance with areas that require improvement
Bronze Standing (80-82%) A Bronze Standing reflects a satisfactory performance with several elements and areas that require improvement
Scholarship Age Category classifications:
Junior
Piano Plan 1:
Classes 9 yrs. & under
Piano Plan II:
Classes Beginner, Pre, Grades 1, 2 and 3
All other disciplines:
Classes 10 yrs. & under
Classes beginner - grade 4
Classes 1-2 years of study
Intermediate
Piano Plan I:
Classes 10, 11 yrs. & under, &
12 yrs. and under, & 13 yrs. and under
Piano Plan II:
Classes Grades 4, 5, 6, and 7
All other disciplines:
Classes 11, 12, 13 and 14 yrs. & under
Classes 3-4 years of study
Senior
Piano Plan I:
Classes 14 yrs. & under, & above
Piano Plan II:
Grades 8, 9, 10 & Associate
All other disciplines
Classes 15 yrs. & over, and above
Classes 5-6+ years of study
