Music Teachers
and Parents
Welcome
to another year of The Sherwood Park Music Festival. We are looking forward
to another successful Festival. We thank you for your hard work and dedication
in helping the participants achieve their high levels of performance.
The
2009 Festival was very successful with over 700 participants. Our students
participated at the Provincial level in 20 different classes and from
their performances, five second place finishes were achieved. Congratulations
to both teachers and students on a job well done!
Important 2010 Festival Information
There
are several changes to this year's registration process.
1 We have worked extensively with a computer programming
company to bring you on-line registration. This on-line registration
service will be available in the very near future - please continue
to monitor our web-site. The entry forms and payments will be able to
be completed through our web-site; however, you can still register by
mail, if necessary.
2 The Sherwood Park Music Festival Manual is now available on our web-site.
It contains the Rules and Regulations governing our local Festival.
These local Rules and Regulations are in addition to the Rules and Regulations
laid out in the AMFA syllabus. We are hopeful that this document will
answer many of your questions before registering students for our Festival.
There are quite a number of changes so please read documents carefully.
3 When you visit our web-site, you will encounter a licensing agreement
pop-up box. By clicking this box, you are accepting the terms of this
licensing agreement and are acknowledging that you have read both the
Sherwood Park Music Festival Manual and the Rules and Regulations of
the AMFA Syllabus and you are agreeing to the terms laid out in both
documents.
